History

In 2017, SBL was launched in India with the league format and staged 15 events which were televised live on Sony ESPN. This was followed by the launch of SBL in Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in a Fight Night format. SBL Jeddah Season was staged globally on Fox Sports, ESPN, KSA Sports,QQ–Qie TV Tencent, PTV Sports,Channel 5, Super Sport, MBC Action and Sky Sports with broadcasting outreach to over 900 million homes in over 50 countries.

Based on the success of India and KSA respectively, SBL is now bringing the action packed excitement of team boxing to the largest market in the world, North America.

At age 17, Amir became Britain’s youngest Boxing medalist and is  the  youngest ever British World Boxing Champion. In 2012 Amir joined his partner Bill Dosanjh in founding the Super Boxing League as a means to expand the audience of the sport he loves by creating a team sports dynamic.

Bill has been an avid follower and practitioner of combat sports from a very young age. He has been associated with Khan Promotions and has launched his partner Amir Khan into the US market in 2009. Bill, founded SBL in 2017, with a vision of establishing a team sport within the boxing community ecosystem.
